Our Leadership Team
Mark Stocker
President, Owner
Mark Stocker
Mark is the president of SANINC, and its subsidiaries, MetalJobs Network and PlasticJobs Network. Prior to entering the recruiting and placement profession, Mark spent more than 20 years building, training, and managing top-ranked sales teams. He understands that by taking the time to ask detailed questions on the front end, everyone saves time and is more likely to get what they want on the tail end.
Mark is a strong advocate of being a student of the game. He has traveled all over the country to meet with, train with, and learn under some of the most talented and respected recruiters in the industry. Some of these recruiters include Peter Lefkowitz, Danny Cahill, Scott Love, Jordan Rayboy, Karen Schmidt, and Jeff Kaye. In the fall of 2015, after almost 25 years of operating as a stand-alone business, SANINC joined Sanford Rose Associates’ (SRA) network of offices. This move enabled each of SANINC’s companies to continue operating as independent, boutique, niche-market firms, while acquiring access to resources and support that come with being part of a Top 10 Search Firm.
Mark was born in Louisville and went to college at University of Kentucky. While in college, he spent 5 years running his own business under the Southwestern Company where he built a 40-person sales team and was consistently in the top 1% of all salespeople. After college, Mark took 4 months off to travel the world with 3 close friends. Upon returning to the states, he helped to found several companies that took him from North Carolina to Colorado to Connecticut to Arizona, before returning to Louisville in 2010. He started with MetalJobs Network in 2012 and acquired the company in 2014. In Mark’s free time, he enjoys playing disc golf with his 2 boys, Jameson and Griffin; heading out on a kayak with his beautiful wife, Abigail; or playing Euchre with his friends.

“My favorite part about both candidate and client relationships is knowing that I am able to help someone take that next step in the direction they want to head. Since the beginning, my goal has been that after I talk with someone, they should feel better than they did before we met. Matching top talent with top tier companies is the ultimate ‘win’, to make an improvement in everyone’s situations, and when this all comes to fruition those are the best moments of this career.” —Joey

Raj Michael
My story begins in the bustling heart of Madras, now Chennai, in the great state of Tamil Nadu. Here, I learned my first lessons in resilience—from the monsoons that flooded the city to the festivals that lit up the night. Madras wasn’t just a birthplace; it was the loom where my life’s threads began to weave.
As a child, my family moved to Neyveli, a town built on lignite mines and thermal power. Surrounded by the hum of industry—chimneys reaching for the sky like modern-day temples—I grew up playing under palm groves and visiting the Subramania Swamy Temple for blessings. Neyveli taught me the value of hard work and innovation; the earth’s hidden treasures fueled not just power plants but my curiosity about how things are made and transformed. It was here that the seeds of my future in science were planted, amid the dust and determination of Tamil Nadu’s industrial backbone.
Adolescence brought adventure as I relocated to Düsseldorf, Germany, for pre-college courses in arts and science. Leaving the tropical heat for the crisp Rhine air was a culture shock—the Königsallee with its elegant shops, the Altstadt’s lively beer halls, and the iconic Rhine Tower piercing the skyline. Here, I navigated new languages, customs, and carnival masks, blending my Indian roots with German precision. Düsseldorf wasn’t just a stop; it was a bridge, honing my adaptability and preparing me for the global path ahead.
From Europe’s rivers, I ventured to the vast prairies of South Dakota for my undergraduate degree in Chemistry. South Dakota taught me independence—driving through endless horizons and embracing the pioneer ethos. It was here that my passion for science solidified, turning curiosity into a calling.
The pursuit of knowledge led me westward to Washington State for my PhD in Chemistry. Immersed in rigorous studies, I researched the exposure of plastics to outer space’s ionic atmosphere and established a foundation for a career that would span decades. Washington wasn’t just about degrees; it was about eruption—of ideas, growth, and self-discovery.
Armed with knowledge, I embarked on a 23-year odyssey in the chemicals and plastics industry. From labs to the factory floor, I helped my customers transform polymers that shape everyday life—recyclable materials, durable products, molecular chains linking ideas to reality. Challenges abounded: navigating market shifts, environmental concerns, and global supply chains. Yet each breakthrough echoed my roots—from Neyveli’s mines to Washington’s labs—proving that transformation is at the heart of progress. This era was my forge, tempering expertise with experience.
My journey took me to Doha, Qatar, for 14 years in the chemicals sector. Amid the shimmering Aspire Tower and the timeless Souq Waqif lanterns, I applied my skills in a land of pearls, falcons, and liquid natural gas. Doha taught me cultural fusion—respecting Islamic heritage while driving chemical advancements in energy and sustainability. Here, in the desert’s embrace, I reflected on a life woven across borders: from Madras’ temples to Qatar’s towers, a tapestry of resilience, learning, and legacy.
I am truly excited and honored to join the talented and rich team at SANINC to help deliver the best value for our customers, clients, and partners.
Life’s loom never stops. I cannot wait to share with you my new weave at SANINC.
